Associates from Moonlighting Solutions attended MedAxiom's Spring 2019 CV Transforum in Amelia Island, Florida, April 3-5, 2019. MedAxiom is a professional community of physicians, clinicians, thought leaders, and healthcare innovators working together to transform cardiovascular care.

"As a corporate partner of MedAxiom, we look forward to attending this event each year," said Mike Guenther, vice president of key accounts. "We always enjoy seeing our clients and partners who are also members of MedAxiom, as well as meeting new people. We look forward to helping additional MedAxiom members with their future physician call coverage needs." Moonlighting Solutions provides cardiology call coverage for many of its clients, via onsite coverage, and via telehealth as Virtual Specialty Clinics. "Cardiology is one of our top specialties and it's among our most popular service lines for a number of reasons," Guenther added. "Our physician services solve a lot of staffing issues and help fill coverage gaps very effectively for all modalities of cardiology, and since our CEO happens to be a cardiologist, it makes sense that cardiovascular medicine has grown to be a key focus for us and one of the more common areas in which we can assist health systems."

Robin Olson, director of permanent recruitment, also attended the conference. "Our permanent search division is one that is not as well-known among many health systems, and it has grown quite a bit over the past year, so it was great to meet everyone at CV Transforum and discuss their permanent search needs in addition to their part-time call coverage needs," Olson states.

The meetings kicked off with an overview of MedAxiom's recent acquisition by the American College of Cardiology, including the new initiatives and goals moving forward as a combined entity. Other sessions included presentations on strengthening relationships and communication between physician staff and healthcare administrators and leadership, as well as updates on clinical developments in cardiovascular care.
