A stable non-profit health system has an exciting opportunity for a Cardiovascular/ Thoracic Surgeon in Southeastern Wisconsin. This growing program draws referrals from both Wisconsin and Illinois locations, as it is the only CV Surgical program in the county with a catchment populace of more than 200k.

 

  • The program has doubled in size in the past 12 months with a potential to double again with the right program builder.
  • Opportunity to participate in cancer program (thoracic training required), OR opportunity to participate vascular program (vascular training required) including performing endovascular procedures.
  • Full-time schedule with coverage for call and time-off including locums.
  • Candidate Criteria: BC/BE - Cardiovascular Surgery or Cardiothoracic Surgery. Minimally invasive or vascular capabilities preferred but not required. Candidates must be experienced and prepared to be solo.
  • Compensation and Benefits: Highly competitive compensation package with above median compensation and RVU’s, plus additional incentives, relocation, and excellent benefits with a retirement plan. During the pandemic, no physicians were furloughed, and reported no compensation loss.

Clinical Details:

Excellent hospital support with 24/7 coverage - highly skilled first assist endovein, experienced OR team, dedicated nurse resources, and APC support. Interventional cardiology program with 24/7 STEMI capabilities, active EP, Heart Failure, and Vascular programs, local structural heart clinic and TAVR at tertiary site.

  • 2 dedicated CVOR's, renovated 2020.
  • Minimally invasive equipment and trained teams.
  • Cardiac anesthesia.
  • Percutaneous LVAD Impella CP and 5.0.
  • 64 slice GE Optima 660 scanner for CT angiography.
